How Long Will It Take?
Kajol requires a 3-hour window for the full bridal package makeup, hair styling and hijab styling. For makeup only or hair only appointments, timings will be confirmed at booking. Please factor this into your schedule when giving your ready-by time.

- Full Bridal Package: Makeup and Hair — please allow 3 hours
- Bridal Makeup and Hijab Styling — please allow 3 hours
- Bridal Makeup Only — please allow 2 hours
- Bridal Hair Styling Only — please allow 1.5 hours
- Party Makeup and Hair — please allow 2 hours per person
- Party Makeup Only — please allow 45 minutes to 1 hour per person
Setting Up Your Space
To ensure the best possible results, please have the following ready before Kajol arrives:
- A table or clear surface to set up the makeup and hair kit
- A comfortable chair for you to be seated throughout
- A room with natural daylight ideally near a window. This ensures accurate colour matching and the most flawless finish
- A private space for just you a calm, quiet environment makes the whole experience more relaxed and enjoyable
- Kajol will require help with luggage when needed
Preparing Yourself Before the Appointment
The Night Before
- Wash Hair preferable 1-2 days before the event and must be completely dry hair on the day, never wash hair on the morning
- Apply your full evening skincare routine
- Apply lip balm and eye cream before bed
- Lay out your outfit, jewellery, accessories and dupatta all label off and unpacked from any baskets or taals.
- Get your dupatta steamed
- Get a good night’s sleep
On the Morning Before Kajol Arrives
- Cleanse gently and apply your usual lightweight moisturiser
- Do not apply heavy oils, thick serums or SPF immediately before
- Arrive makeup-free clean hydrated skin is all that is needed
- Eat a proper nourishing breakfast
- Put your outfit on before Kajol begins, especially if it goes over your head
- Have your jewellery and accessories all laid out and ready
- Please ensure all bridal outfits, jewellery all out of taals or packaging
During the Appointment
- Stay seated and still throughout
- Limit phone use where possible
- Avoid eating or drinking during the application
- Share your inspo pictures and communicate openly
- Speak up if anything does not feel right adjustments are always welcome
- Limit phone use during the appointment where possible
- No additional member of family to be in the same, this will ensure a smooth running bridal process without affecting any delays
The In-Appointment Consultation
Kajol will begin with a thorough one-to-one consultation to discuss your desired look. This will cover:
For Makeup
- Foundation finish light, medium or full coverage; dewy or matte
- Eye makeup colours, intensity and liner style
- Lashes soft, medium or full; options will be shown for you to choose from
- Brows softly defined or bold
- Blush and contour intensity
- Lip colour, liner and finish (glossy, satin or matte)
For Hair
- Style preference updo, half up/half down, waves or a traditional look
- Use of extensions or padding
- How your style will work with your jewellery and accessories
- Inspo pictures are always welcome the more specific, the better!
For Hijab Styling
- Style and drape preference, wherher full coverage or turban can be discussed before hand
- How it works with your outfit, jewellery and overall bridal look
- Pinning method and security for a long day
After the Makeup is Complete
Kajol will allow time after the final look is done to make any adjustments you’d like. You are welcome to request changes to anything until you are completely happy. Kajol will not leave until you are fully satisfied with your look.
Privacy & Social Media
Kajol may photograph or film the process and finished look for her portfolio and social media. If you would prefer your images not to be shared, simply let Kajol know before the appointment your privacy is always respected.
Seasonal Tips
Summer Brides A fuller coverage base with finishing powders is recommended to combat heat, humidity and long hours. A lighter base may not hold as well in warm conditions.
Winter Brides A dewy finish with setting spray keeps skin looking fresh and hydrated throughout a cooler wedding day.
