By using any of the services and/or the website you agree that you have read and accept these terms and conditions and that they shall apply to your use of this website or its services.  Bookings

When booking please state any special requirements you may have. On booking an appointment with Kajol Beauty, you must discuss any skin allergies and medical conditions at the time of your booking. If you have any uncertainty you must seek medical advice from your doctor. Certain skin conditions will mean that certain products may not be used.

All bookings are subject to a deposit. You will be informed of the amount of deposit required depending on your booking specifications.

All deposits will be redeemed against the service provided.

  • You shall arrange for the cost of the flight, transfers and accommodation. This clause applies for all bookings outside of the United Kingdom.
  • We shall upload your bridal makeover photographs, video footage and any other content on social media, including our instagram page of @Kajolbeautymua and/or our website only with your express consent.
  • We shall not be responsible or liable to you whatsoever in any event that your bridal makeover is ruined or spoiled by circumstances outside of our reasonable control, such as force or pressure applied by a family member or other third party, including poor weather conditions.
  • You must ensure that your bridal outfit including any jewellery, accessories and footwear are all in the same room that you will be getting ready in, and you must ensure that any tags from outfits or jewellery/accessories are removed before your bridal makeover;
  • if you are doing your nails, that these are done before or after your bridal makeover;
  • if you are wearing contact lenses that these are organised and put in your eyes either before or after the makeover, whichever option you feel comfortable doing;
  • if you are paying in cash on the day, your payment is ready before your bridal makeover; and if you are paying via bank transfer, then the payment must be received in cleared funds 24 hours before your wedding date;
  • photographers, videographers and any third parties must only enter your room once you are fully ready;
  • any use of your mobile phone or any other handheld device is kept to an absolute minimum;
  • if you are wearing a nose ring on your wedding day, that it has been pre-tested on your nose and that if you are already wearing a nose ring at the time of your makeover (which will then need to be removed for your bridal nose ring) that it is easily accessible and able to be removed with ease;
  • you let us know your hair colour including any particular hair styling or makeup requirements as soon as possible; and
  • you let us know of any skin allergies or concerns, or allergies to makeup or products as soon as possible.

Etiquette

The makeup artist may arrive up to thirty minutes before the start of your appointment. This will allow her to set up the equipment.

Once the makeup artist is in your house any significant time taken out to tend to deliveries, babies, pets or work that becomes a disturbance during the appointment will be taken off your booking time.

In an effort to maintain a calm, peaceful environment for all our clients, we kindly request that all mobile phones are switched off or silenced during all bookings.

Please remember no smoking is allowed during bookings.

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied/supervised by an appropriate adult.

If you are late for your booking your booking time will be cut where necessary.

Payment CANCELLATION

 Full Payment for all services / courses is taken before the service / course starts.

Cancellations / Date Changes / Late / Non arrival

Being on time for your appointment is very much appreciated.

All deposits and fees for courses / services are non-refundable if cancellation is made.

Change of dates for a course /service will be treated as a cancellation. At our discretion we may allow a change of date but a penalty of £50 will be payable by the client each time a date is changed.

Should a client cancel the booked event or any service on a contract, the deposit will not be refunded or transferred to another date. If makeup artist cancels at any time or be unable to perform her duties for any reason, 100% of the deposit paid will be refunded by via bank transfer within two (2) weeks.

If you arrive late for an appointment and we are unable to extend your appointment time we will simply reduce the length of your appointment, finishing on time so as not to delay the next client, and you will be charged of the full service booked even if you have not received the full service due to your lateness.

cancellations of a service / course midway is not permitted, and if you wish to do so then no portion of the money will be refunded.

Any client who is not ready for Makeup application on time, will be biding into their own time and we reserve the right to cancel the booking as it may affect any bookings KAJOL  has later on. There will be an additional charge of £1.00 per minute added on if KAJOL is waiting.  All clients will be informed to any additional charges being applied.

PLEASE NOTE  in some cases KAJOL may change arrival time due to busy schedule of bookings to ensure all clients are booked within certain time slot

 

RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT 

Client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions such as watery eyes, eczema, acne, vitiligo, severe dry patches, overly oily skin. Any allergies to specific ingredients will need to be disclosed before the booking.

The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the clients failure to inform the artist of any known condition. The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abuse and threatening behavior. The makeup artist requires a quiet room away from disturbances so please ensure that the set up meets this criteria. DUE TO HYGIENE REASONS PLEASE ENSURE THAT NOBODY TOUCHES THE MAKEUP ARTISTS’ PRODUCTS.

TRAINING – Photoshoot & Videoshoot

We will have the right to display all pictures and videos given to the student as part of their portfolio shoot on our website, social media, and as part of our advertising as well as to any third parties that may have collaborated with us to make the shoot possible, such as outfit suppliers, jewellery suppliers, etc. Wherever we use the student portfolio pictures it will be made clear that it is students work and not ours.

Course Contents

Course contents may not be taught in the strict order mentioned on the individual course pages, e.g. the hairstyle topics may be taught before the makeup topics. All contents of the course will however be covered.

Complaints

In the unlikely event that you have any cause for complaint please inform the Kajol makeup artist / course tutor before the end of the booking / course, where she will do her best to ensure your satisfaction.

ConfidentialityPrivacy policy

We will treat all your Personal Information as confidential, we will keep it secure and not divulge it to any third party.

TRAVEL /PARKING 

 Clients must understand that the nature of the business does require KAJOL to travel on the road from booking to booking by car. Unforeseen circumstances on the road can arise, i.e. an accident, road closures or heavy congestion resulting in Artist (Kajol) being delayed. We always advise clients to book ahead with plenty of time to spare till their event starts.

CLIENTS must provide with a visitor permit if needed outside of your residence

If (Kajol) does arrive late to any booking, it will not bide into their booking time and clients will be given the full time originally allocated to them.

Data Protection

Each Party shall comply with its respective obligations pursuant to the Data Protection Act 1998 (“DPA”).

Security

We make every effort to ensure that security issues are taken care of at our premises. It is, however, your responsibility to make sure your possessions are safe and within your sight at all times. We cannot accept responsibility for your items.

Health and Safety

Our policy is to provide and maintain working conditions, equipment and systems of work, which are safe and healthy for all our students and employees, and to provide information, training and supervision sufficient to maintain safety. We also accept our responsibility for health and safety of persons other than employees who may be affected by our activities. These standards are maintained in accordance with the relevant Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

Kajol Beauty operates an equal opportunities policy and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, disability, age, or sexual orientation.

Risk Assessment

Before starting training courses a risk assessment is carried out which includes all hair styling equipment is checked to ensure safety. Heat resistant gloves are used with all hair styling equipment.
All fire exits are kept clear.
All makeup tools are checked that they are clean and sterile.
Training room is checked for adequate ventilation.
All electric cables are kept in a tidy state to prevent trips.
Fire extinguishers are checked.

We reserve the right to refuse and terminate any bookings.  We have zero tolerance for abusive and threatening behaviour towards any of our staff, should this be the case your booking will be terminated immediately.
