How to prep your skin before your wedding

Oily skin can hold makeup beautifully with the right preparation. Start this routine 3 to 6 months before your wedding.

Morning Routine

  • Gentle gel or foaming cleanser
  • Balancing toner with niacinamide
  • Niacinamide serum to control oil and minimise pores
  • Lightweight oil-free gel moisturiser
  • Mattifying SPF 30+

Evening Routine

  • Double cleanse
  • Toner then serum
  • Lightweight moisturiser

Once or Twice a Week

  • Clay or charcoal mask to draw out impurities
  • Gentle salicylic acid exfoliant

Combination skin means oily in the T-zone and drier on the cheeks. The key is balance. Start this routine 3 to 6 months before your wedding.

  • Balancing toner
  • Niacinamide or hyaluronic acid serum
  • Lightweight gel moisturiser, slightly richer on the drier cheek areas
  • SPF 30+ every morning

Evening Routine

  • Double cleanse
  • Toner then serum
  • Moisturiser, a little more on any drier areas

Once or Twice a Week

  • Multi-mask: clay mask on the T-zone and hydrating mask on the cheeks at the same time
